The Mother's Day market was a great day for all attending, both stallholders and visitors. As a stallholder we arrived before sunrise. The staff greeted us with a smiling "Good morning, the market will be full with stalls today". As we parked to unload we were greeted by the market attendants wanting to know if we had a good trip getting to the market. Some stallholders travel long distances to the market. There was an early fog over the showground. The month of May is always a sign winter will soon be on its way. There was a buzz, this will be a very busy day. Within 90 minutes the fog had cleared and the community of hundreds of stalls had built itself into an amazing market. At 8am the gates opened to the public, the queue was the the full length of Anzac St, and in they came. The public travel from all over to attend. There was a stream of cars and tourist buses all day into the car park. Lots of stalls had gone out of there way to promote Mother's Day. I think all would agree it was a great day for both stallholders and visitors to the market. Hats off to the organisers and the stallholders who go out of their way to make this truly one of the great markets in NSW.
